The Cancer Reset Roadmap™ That Shows You What to Focus on During and After Cancer
A cancer diagnosis changes everything. Suddenly, you find yourself facing decisions you never thought you’d have to make.
There are appointments, treatments, test results, side effects, and so many conversations that leave you with more questions than answers.
And somewhere in the middle of it all, the same question keeps coming up: What now?
What should I be doing to support my body through this?
How do I know which choices actually matter for healing?
How do I take care of myself in a way that’s safe, doable, and right for me?
As a functional cancer health coach I hear these questions from my clients all the time.
And the reason they struggle so much to know what to do is because so much of the advice out there is extreme, conflicting, and often unrealistic.
As a result, you can spend hours Googling, researching, and scanning social media and still not know what actually matters most for your body and your healing and recurrence risk.
It feels like there are thousands of paths to healing, but no one tells you how to choose the best one for you so you feel lost and confused. And not knowing can be the difference between deep healing that lasts and staying on the struggle bus.
That’s why I created the Cancer Reset Roadmap. It’s the framework I use in my private coaching work to help you understand what’s happening in your body, what truly impacts cancer risk and healing, and exactly where to focus.
Then we build routines that support healing without taking over your life.
This roadmap is for you no matter where you are in your cancer journey. Because it starts where your body is right now, whether you’ve just been diagnosed, are in treatment, or are finished with treatment and are focussed preventing recurrence.
It’s the exact process I use to help my clients support healing and reduce recurrence risk, so that they can get back to living instead of managing cancer as if it’s a full-time job.
In this blog post, I’ll walk you through the Cancer Reset Roadmap.
I’ll explain how it works and share a real example of how one client used the Cancer Reset Roadmap to move from confusion and uncertainty to knowing exactly what to focus on and why.
Let me show you what that can look like.
A Personalized Roadmap for Cancer Healing and Reducing Recurrence Risk
The Cancer Reset Roadmap isn’t another one-size-fits-all protocol. It’s how I help women understand what allowed cancer to take hold, then decide what deserves their focus so healing can happen without constant second-guessing, pressure to do “all the things,” or treating healing like a full-time job.
This approach goes far beyond feeling better or managing symptoms (although that happens, too). We focus on why cancer was able to grow in your body and what needs to change so you can heal better and reduce recurrence risk.
Here are the four steps of the Cancer Reset Roadmap:
Step 1. Get Clear on What’s Actually Going On Inside Your Body: Uncover the Root Causes Behind Your Cancer
This is where everything begins.
We look closely at your cancer story, your diagnosis, your treatment, and what has changed since then. We dig into your current routine, your symptoms, your energy levels, and what you’ve already tried. We review any lab work you already have and discuss whether more may be needed.
Most importantly, we use all of that to answer these critical questions:
- What’s happening in your body that’s affecting healing or recurrence risk?
- What patterns in your health and history contribute to cancer risk?
- What’s really driving your symptoms, fatigue, or lingering side effects?
Instead of more confusing information or generic advice, you gain a clear understanding of what’s happening inside your body and why it matters for healing and recurrence risk.
Why this step matters:
This step helps you understand what made your body vulnerable to cancer and what’s still affecting healing now. Without that clarity, it’s impossible to know what actually needs to change. Prioritizing what to do, and knowing what not to do, is the key to optimal healing and recurrence prevention.
Step 2. Identify the Best Place to Start
In Step 1, we’ve usually uncovered more than one root cause or imbalance that contributed to cancer and is still affecting healing.
That’s normal. Cancer is seldom caused by just one thing.

What matters next is deciding where to start, because trying to address everything at once can overwhelm a body that’s already working hard to heal.
In this step, we look at the root causes we identified in Step 1 and ask a very specific question:
Which one or two of these will give your body the most support right now, with the least amount of strain?
We make that decision by looking at:
- Which root causes are having the biggest impact on healing or recurrence risk
- Which ones are influencing more than one system in the body
- What your body can realistically respond to right now, given treatment, energy, and daily life
Because the body’s systems are connected, choosing the right starting point often improves more than one issue at the same time. We create your Body-Led Plan™, with a clear order of focus instead of trying to address everything at once.
This is often the moment clients say they finally feel like they can breathe again. There’s no longer a long mental list of things they “should” be doing. They know where to start, and what can wait.
Why this step matters:
Trying to do too much at once can overwhelm your body and slow healing. This step turns insight into a clear plan by narrowing the focus to what will help your body most right now. It’s easy to feel compelled to try every new supplement or strategy, but with a Body-Led Plan in place, you have a clear way to decide what belongs in your plan now and what can wait.
Step 3: Build Daily Routines That Fit Real Life
This is where we create your Daily Healing Blueprint™.
Using the priorities from your Body-Led Plan, we create a clear picture of what needs to happen most days and how those actions fit into your real life, no willpower or motivation required. So you’re not waking up every morning trying to decide what to eat, what to take, or whether you’re doing enough.
We build this around what you can realistically do day-to-day, including days when energy is low or treatment is demanding. No complicated schedules. Just simple actions you can repeat consistently.
Over time, these routines become more automatic. You spend less mental energy thinking through every choice and more time living your life while still supporting healing.
Why this step matters:
Your body responds best to consistency. When supportive actions become easy-to-follow habits, healing doesn’t depend on how much energy or motivation you have that day.
Step 4: Refine the Plan as Your Body Changes
Healing isn’t a one-and-done thing. It’s a process of supporting your body over time, without overloading your systems or trying to do too much at once.
In this step, we reassess your symptoms, energy, routines, and any lab data we’re tracking so we know what’s working, what’s not, and what needs adjusting next.
Then we add one new habit or support at a time, based on what your body can handle and how it’s responding. We test it, adjust it, and only once it’s working consistently do we move on.
This is Real-Life Refinement™, the process that keeps your plan aligned with your body as healing progresses, without adding stress.
Why this step matters:
This is how we keep moving forward without falling into the cycle of trying to do everything or doing nothing at all. You don’t have to do everything at once. You just need a clear plan that evolves as your body heals.
What Following the Cancer Reset Roadmap Looks Like in Real Life: Joanne’s Story
Joanne came to me after a stage 3 breast cancer diagnosis. At first, she didn’t think she had any major health concerns beyond cancer. But once we talked through her history, clear patterns began to emerge.
She’d lived for decades with food intolerances, chronic constipation, bloating, frequent colds, and significant seasonal allergies. They had been part of her life for so long that she thought they were normal.
Once we applied the Cancer Reset Roadmap, we were able to identify the root causes of those issues. Digestive dysfunction and nutrient deficiencies were placing ongoing strain on her immune system and limiting her body’s ability to repair.
Together, we created a Body-Led Plan that prioritized gut support.
As her gut healed and digestion improved, nutrient absorption increased, her energy returned, and her symptoms eased. She was able to tolerate more foods, reduce supplements, and build routines that fit her life.
From there, we were able to build on that foundation, step by step, in a way her body could handle.
Now, more than 13 years cancer-free, Joanne feels better in her 60s than she did in her 30s. As she puts it, her immune system is stronger, she rarely gets sick, her digestion is no longer an issue, and seasonal allergies no longer run her life.
She’s back to living without having to think about cancer all the time or second-guessing every decision.
Why a Clear Roadmap Makes Cancer Healing Easier and More Effective
When the structure that the Cancer Reset Roadmap creates is missing, it’s easy to swing between trying everything and doing nothing. Both paths add more stress instead of relief.
Without a clear understanding of what your body actually needs, it’s hard to know what you should and shouldn’t be doing.
You might follow advice that worked for someone else, even though it doesn’t match what’s happening in your body.
You might jump from one approach to another. Strict diets. Supplements. Detoxes. Complicated modalities. And still lie awake at night wondering if any of it is actually helping, or if it could even be making things worse.
Or perhaps you freeze altogether, so afraid of doing the wrong thing that you do nothing at all.
And even if you’re putting in a ton of effort, you can still miss the mark. The wrong choices, the right choices in the wrong order, or doing too much at once can all slow healing instead of supporting it.
What Changes When You Do Follow the Cancer Reset Roadmap
When you follow the Cancer Reset Roadmap, your healing becomes more focused and more effective.
You stop second-guessing every decision. You’re no longer replaying choices in your head or wondering if you should be doing something different. You know what matters most for your body and why.
You reduce stress. You’re not lying awake thinking about what you forgot to do, what you should add, or whether you made the wrong choice. You have a clear sense of what needs your attention right now and what doesn’t.
You start seeing results. Instead of trying to do everything at once, your body gets the support it needs in an order it can actually respond to.
You feel more confident. You’re not relying on trial and error or hoping you’re doing enough. You have a clear plan that makes sense for your body.
The Cancer Reset Roadmap gives you a structure you can rely on, even when energy is low or life gets busy.
Many women tell me this is the first time things start to feel less stressful and more manageable because they finally have a plan they can trust.
In other words, you move from guessing to knowing what your body actually needs.
Sometimes women ask me how to know if they need to follow the Roadmap.
The question I hear most often is this:
“What if I feel fine? Does that actually mean everything is fine?”
And here’s the honest answer… You can feel fine and still have an internal environment that supports cancer growth.
So let’s talk about that.
Do I Still Need a Roadmap If I Don’t Feel Bad or Have Many Symptoms?
I’ve worked with women who had a long list of symptoms and women who felt generally okay day to day. What they all had in common was uncertainty about what their body actually needed and how to put that into action.
When nothing feels urgent or clearly “wrong,” it’s easy to assume there’s no reason to change anything yet. But symptoms don’t always tell the full story.
Many of the internal conditions that affect healing and recurrence risk can be present even when symptoms are mild or inconsistent. In other cases, symptom onset happens so gradually that they go unnoticed.
It’s easy to assume that feeling fine means everything is fine.
But many women tell me they felt fine before their diagnosis. That’s one of the reasons we look beyond how you feel day to day and focus on how well your body is actually able to keep cancer cells in check and prevent abnormal cells from progressing.
The earlier these internal issues are identified and addressed, the simpler the process tends to be. Waiting until something feels clearly wrong usually means there’s more to unravel later.
The Cancer Reset Roadmap evaluates what’s happening inside your body, not just how you feel. It identifies the internal conditions that allowed cancer to take hold in the first place, along with anything that may still be limiting healing or increasing future risk.
That way, decisions are based on what your body needs, not on whether symptoms feel “bad enough” to act.
